How to make your own totoro plush!

Aren't these totoro plush adorable?!

I was recently inspired to sew myself a totoro plush after i bought a small one for 25 bucks. For those who are not willing to spend so much on a small plush, you can sew yourself one! The cost price was less than $10 only. I mean, look at much one can save. And they are so small, they fit right into your pocket :)

The ones i made are about 8cm in height.

Materials

  1. Grey and white felt sheet (For those living in Singapore, i got mine from ArtFriend)
  2. Eyes
  3. Black permanent marker
  4. Needle
  5. Grey thread
  6. All purpose adhesive
  7. Cotton wool
Instructions
  1. Cut out the shape of the totoro (I first traced the shape using a pen) on the grey felt sheet.
  2. Cut a rectangle on the white felt sheet then trim the sides to make it round.
  3. Stuff cotton wool as you sew up the 2 grey felt sheet.
  4. And now, simply draw ^ on the white felt sheet and stick everything on the plush.
Simple isn't it? And they make really good gifts. You can leave it as it is or you can even turn it into a key ring.

If you are interested in purchasing the totoro i made, feel free to leave a comment below. As for the pricing, i'll leave it to you. Just make sure the postal fees are covered!:) Hope February would be a good month for y'all!

Love,
Sam
